Hi, I’m Agathe (prononced Agat)

I’m a photographer, filmmaker, environmental communicator, and earth scientist creating visual stories at the intersection of adventure, ecology, love, and meaningful change. My work is rooted in natural history and conservation, shaped by years of experience in remote field environments where listening, trust, and scientific understanding matter as much as image-making.

I photograph and direct across land, water, and ocean worlds, bringing cinematic storytelling to conservation projects, editorial and commercial assignments, educational work, and intimate adventure elopements. I’m especially drawn to projects that hold complexity: stories that require care, grit, and a deep relationship to land and water.

My work has been recognized by National Geographic, including an Honourable Mention for Aerial Photographer of the Year. I also collaborate with brands, publications, conservation organizations, researchers, and communities to create imagery that helps people see more clearly, feel more deeply, and move toward action.

This season I’m based in British Columbia, and I will be in Baja, Mexico next winter.

What Shapes My Work

Time to listen, care, reciprocity, curiosity, wonder, courage, scientific thinking, adventure, grit, relationship to land, relationship to water, environmental justice, cultural resilience, and living authentically.

My Approach

I’m drawn to stories that hold beauty and complexity at the same time, stories shaped by ecology, weather, movement, relationship, and change. Whether I’m documenting marine conservation, filming in remote environments, photographing life aboard the boat, or witnessing a couple exchange vows in a meaningful place, I aim to work with presence, clarity, and respect.
